Most of the people have realized that they need to save some money on energy cost that is brought about by the heating and cooling of our homes. Apart from saving the money, it has become apparent that we need to save our environment especially the atmosphere. Research has shown that 4 tons of greenhouse gasses are being released into the air every month because most homes use fossil fuels for heating. For these reason there has been an introduction of heating and cooling system that works without the use of the fuels. These systems are very important of we need to reduce the amount of green house gasses that we are releasing into the air. They will certainly help us reduce the energy cost that we incur annually.
One of these systems is green system is the geothermal heating and cooling systems. This system is actually a heat pump that works by drawing the heat from the external environment and having it transferred into the home through a refrigerant or water during the cold season. The opposite of this will take place during the hot season and the heat will be drawn from the indoor environment and transferred to the external air. The main source of heat for these systems is the ground or a large water body and so you will have to dig a trench for the system. This means that you will not have the use of the fuel so as to heat the home and so you will probably save a lot of money annually. The geothermal systems do not produce any gases and so they are very eco-friendly.
Apart from having a cost effective heating system in terms of the fuel consumption, the geothermal system requires very little to no maintenance cost. Once installed, the geothermal systems can run for years without repairs or breaking down.
