Insulation and duct contamination happens whether we like it or not and we cannot stay away from that. All we can do is to consider the benefits of having the insulation and them the effects of having the same. If the benefits outweigh the effects then we can give the insulation a thumbs up.

There are lots of things that can contaminate the ducts and ducts and this mostly happens as the ducts try to trap all the things that we do not want in the air that we breathe in the house. These contaminants can include micro organisms and dust. The former are the most dangerous as they are what causes our ailments in the first place. The insulation is good then if it can keep us away from that. The only bad thing is that if the levels of the dust and micro organisms are too high, then they can get to the air that we breathe. This may not be a good thing. The only solution seen out of this is to change the insulation regularly.

We may not know it but the insulation is also capable of trapping moisture which can harbor the growth of the micro organisms that we may be looking to stay away from. This raises the debate of porous and non porous insulation. The porous insulation has the ability to hold a lot more contaminants than the non porous. This means that the porous insulation may be better than the non porous insulation. All you have to do is to make sure that you change the non porous insulation more regularly than the non porous insulation.

After weighing all these, it is then left for the users to decide if they have to use the insulation or not. It is also up to them to make sure that they are getting the quality of air that they would like in their homes by use of the correct insulation.
